America's Funniest Home Videos Season 9 aired from January 5, 1998 to May 7, 1998. Beginning with this season, Daisy Fuentes and John Fugelsang took over as hosts. Episode 7 & 8 were the first to air, as it aired as part of a TGIF sneak peek on November 21, 1997. The entire season started broadcasting normally that January. The set and theme had changed completely. Also, this is the first season that Jess Harnell announced the show.
