America's Funniest Home Videos Season 6 aired from September 18, 1994 to May 21, 1995. This is the last full season to feature Ernie Anderson as the announcer before Gary Owens took over as the announcer in 1995, due to his health problems.

  • "Bath Time Dog" is one of several videos to win first place in its episode, then win $100,000 in the next episode.
  • "Parasailor Loses Harness" from Episode 14 is titled "Parasailor Misses Her Harness" on Home Video Licensing.[1]
  • "ETC" in "ETC 94 Slide and Fall" from Episode 17 is not an abbreviation for "et cetera" meaning "and others" as said in the episode. It is an acronym for Energy, Talent, and Commitment[2] referring to the ETC School of Musical Arts."
  • The deer from "Deer Suckers" died a few weeks after the episode aired.
  • A lot of the submitters of videos featured in "Guide to Parenting" were part of the studio audience. Clips as followed "Racquetballer Meets Door", "Wrong Queen Crowned, "Buzzer Beater Kid", "Banana Electrocution Scare" ETC. This is likely because these clips could have been nominated, but for various reasons were not. An example is "The Buzzer Beater Kid" who was not nominated because of the nature of the video.

  • On the "Guide to Parenting" DVD release of Season 8, Episode 28, in the video of the dog watching episode 3 of this season, "Mouse" in "Mouse in the Toaster" and the Seiler family's surname are misspelled in the subtitles as "Mouth" and "Zyler," respectively.
