  • Dog actor Air Buddy appears in "Dog-Human 1-on-1" from Episode 9. He would later appear in the 1997 sports comedy film Air Bud.
  • "Bird Dive Bombs Cat" is the first of several videos to win first place in its episode, then win $100,000 in the next episode.
  • The 1989 song "It's Funky Enough" by The D.O.C. can be heard in the background of "Preening Teen."[1]
  • The locations are completely omitted for all nominees in Episode 24, likely due to time constraints. The episode marks the only occurrence of this in a regular episode to date.
